Fancy the curved LG G Flex? If you’re looking to get your hands on the new Android-powered smartphone by LG once it arrives in the UK, you can pre-order the device from Expansys. However, be prepared to shell out an arm and a leg for the smartphone. The retailer is asking £689.99 for the LG G Flex. By comparison, that’s almost as much as the Apple iPhone 5S 64GB. SIM-free, you get to buy Apple’s current flagship for £709.95.
Compared to most smartphones in the market, the LG G Flex is unique. Notable features include a 6-inch P-OLED 720p curved screen and a back case protected by a self-healing coating. It also comes with serious hardware such as LTE support, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 32GB of internal memory, and a 3,500 mAh battery. However, it runs Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). We’re hoping it gets an update making it run Android 4.4 (KitKat) soon after its UK release.
These are by all means premium specs, which rival the best Android flagships around. However, with a price tag of £689.99, is it worth turning your back on the Apple iPhone 5S 64GB, which has beaten all the major players in benchmark scores?
