KGI securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, is known for accurately spilling the beans on yet to be announced Apple products. Now, the analyst is saying that Apple will lift the lid on the rumoured iWatch and 8GB iPhone 5S at WWDC 2014 next week.
Why is Apple planning to launch an 8GB version of the iPhone 5S? It seems that Apple is finding it hard to compete against cheaper Android and Windows Phone handsets such as the Motorola Moto E and Nokia Lumia 520. To allow the iPhone to better compete with these budget offerings, the 8GB version of Apple’s current flagship is said to be coming. Sadly, Kuo doesn’t mention pricing.
There’s no way for us to find out if this rumour is true or not, but at least you won’t have to wait very long to find out since WWDC 2014 kicks off next week.
