Apple is expected to officially unveil the Apple iPhone 5S, successor of the Apple iPhone 5, on the 10th of September (tomorrow). This, however, hasn’t stopped the leaks from coming in. In the latest leak, the handset’s packaging is shown, confirming its rumoured fingerprint scanner.
The leak comes from Dutch site iPhone5Skopen and spotted by PhoneArena. According to the site, “With the Apple iPhone 5S expected to be introduced next Tuesday, it really should be no surprise that a picture of the packaging for the next full-priced iPhone has been leaked. The Apple iPhone 5S is expected to look like the current Apple iPhone 5, but with some changes here and there. For example, a dual LED lozenge shaped flash will be on the new model, as well as a new camera sensor with a lower f/2.0 aperture. The latter will allow Apple iPhone 5S users to take clear pictures in low-light conditions which allows Apple to compete with Nokia and Sony in this regard.
“Other changes include a longer lasting battery, a faster A7 processor and the oft-rumored fingerprint scanner. Speaking of the scanner, a look at the iPhone 5S box shows that the home button on the handset will have a ring around it, confirming the presence of the fingerprint scanner on the phone. Not only will it be used to securely allow the phone to unlock, it also will help with mobile payments to help identify the phone’s owner. In addition to the traditional black and white color options, we should also see two new colors available for the iPhone 5S, gold and graphite.”
